Privacy policy

1. Scope and purpose
This policy covers version 1.0.1 of the E-Reçete Barkod Yazdır browser extension and the optional E-Reçete Barkod Yazıcı Bağlantısı Windows printer connector. The extension turns a signed prescription opened by the user into a customizable label containing QR codes or linear barcodes and prints it. No separate extension account is created.
As of October 30, 2026, version 1.0.1 is a store draft. The different storage behavior of the previously published version 0.5.76 is explained below. This policy does not imply that older versions behave in the same way. The patient admission and mobile notification functions of Aile Hekimi Bildirim are outside this policy’s scope.
2. Information processed
The extension reads the patient’s first and last name, Turkish national identification number (T.C.), prescription and Medula/tracking numbers, prescriber’s name, and medication names, doses and package quantities from the prescription page for which access has been granted. It processes these fields on your device to prepare a label. Whether fields such as medications appear on the label depends on your settings; hiding a field from the printed output does not mean it is never read from the page.
The practice heading, telephone number, additional text, label layout and sizes you enter are also processed as settings. If you use the local connector, the printer name, connection/port or Bluetooth identifier, and device capability preferences are used to select the printer and deliver the print job.
The extension does not read or store your portal password, electronic signature PIN or authentication cookies for its functions. It does not collect browsing history and contains no advertising, usage analytics or automatic error reporting.
3. Storage and browser synchronization
Prescription content: In version 1.0.1, patient and prescription data is not written to the extension’s persistent storage.local or storage.sync storage. It is held in memory for the on-page preview and printing. Transfer to the print page uses a single-use token: the transfer record is deleted when retrieved, or expires within 60 seconds if it is not retrieved. This does not mean that all data in an open portal page or preview is deleted after 60 seconds.
Settings: Label preferences, the heading/telephone number/persistent additional text you enter, and the record of which update notice you have seen are stored in storage.sync. If synchronization is enabled for your browser account, these settings may be transferred to your other devices through your browser provider’s service. Do not enter patient information in persistent heading or additional-text fields.
Preferences for this computer: The thermal printing selection, printer-specific methods and capability test results are stored in the extension’s local storage. The shared printer selection is stored in the connector’s local barkod.db file. The experimental pre-printing feature may keep a local state record; this is not a print history.
Migration from the old version: Version 0.5.76 could write patient/prescription content to synchronized storage under the keys icerik and ilaclar. Version 1.0.1 removes these old keys during installation, update and browser-startup cleanup. Retention and deletion of data previously synchronized by the browser provider are subject to that provider’s own service policies.
4. Transfers and third parties
The extension does not upload patient or prescription data to the developer’s servers, sell it, or share it for advertising or profiling. Data is used only to prepare and preview labels and perform the printing functions selected by the user. The developer is not given automatic access.
When you print, label content is transferred to the browser’s/operating system’s printing system, or to the connector on the same computer that you have explicitly authorized, and then to the selected printer. The print queue, driver, PDF file and printer’s own memory may retain data independently of the extension. Their management depends on your system and printer. Paper output and image/PDF files you save are not deleted automatically.
Opening store, installation or support links makes a normal web request to the relevant site. That service may process your IP address and standard connection information. Patient/prescription content is not added to these links. Your browser provider’s privacy policy also applies to synchronized settings.
5. Permissions and your choices
- Site access: The production extension is authorized for
https://*.saglik.gov.tr/*andhttps://*.enabiz.gov.tr/*. Access is used to detect the prescription screen, read its fields and display the printing sidebar. The technical permission covers pages within those domains, not all websites. - Storage: Used to keep your label settings and local printer preferences.
- Native messaging (nativeMessaging): Optional. Only when enabled does it send printer-management and printing requests to the connector on your computer. You can use the browser’s print dialog without granting this permission.
You can manage site access and the local connector permission in your browser’s extension settings. In the new version, the T.C. masking option also applies to the corresponding barcode content. Check the output preview and QR content for your intended use.
The extension’s data use is restricted to the Limited Use principles of the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy: data is used for the stated label/printing functions, not for advertising targeting, sale or unrelated human review.
6. Deletion and security
You can close open prescription and output tabs. You can change persistent preferences in the settings screen and remove the extension to clear its browser data. Also check synchronized data on your other devices and in your browser account.
Uninstalling the Windows connector does not automatically delete your printer settings. To remove the shared local settings as well, close applications that use the barcode system and remove the %APPDATA%\EReceteBarkod directory in your Windows user account. This resets the printer selection and any retained old settings. Operating system print queues, saved files and diagnostic logs must be cleared separately.
The connector’s legacy single-QR/layout commands may write QR content to the diagnostic output of the environment in which they run. Redact personal information before sharing logs or screenshots. The developer does not collect these logs automatically. No additional application-level encryption is promised for local storage; access depends on the security of your device and user account.
7. Contact and changes
For privacy questions or requests for correction or deletion, email natrollus@gmail.com. Emails and attachments you send for support are processed to respond to your request. Do not send patient data. If you send it accidentally, request deletion at the same address.
The extension does not manage the original health records held in the portal or your institution’s systems. Requests about those records should be directed to the relevant service or institution. When this policy changes, this page and the update date above will be revised.
