Privacy Policy
Esp Track — GPS Tracker · Last updated: August 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how natrollus ("we", "us", or "our")
collects, uses, stores, and shares information in connection with the
Esp Track mobile application (the "App",
bundle identifier com.natrollus.gpstakip). By
downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in
this policy.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
Esp Track is a viewer for a GPS tracking device that you own and a server that you operate. We do not run a backend service for the App, we have no user accounts, and we do not collect, receive, or store any personal data on our own systems.
- No account registration or login.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- The App does not request access to your phone's location, camera, contacts, photos, or microphone.
- All location data comes from — and stays on — the server address you enter.
2. Information We Collect
We collect nothing. The App has no backend operated by us and sends no data to us. The following data is handled entirely on your device or on infrastructure you control:
- Server settings: The base URL of your Node.js API server (or log file path) that you enter in the Settings screen is stored locally on your device only, using the operating system's standard app preferences storage. It is never transmitted to us.
- Tracker telemetry: Position, speed, heading, satellite count, battery and signal level are read from your own server and displayed on screen. The App keeps only the most recent records needed to draw the route trail (up to the last 100 points) in memory. This data is not uploaded anywhere by the App.
- Device location: The App does not use your phone's GPS or location services. The positions shown on the map belong to your separate ESP/MCU tracker hardware, not to your phone.
- Personal information: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, advertising identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information, unless you voluntarily contact us by email.
3. Demo Mode
The App starts in Demo mode by default. In Demo mode the map shows simulated location data generated on the device. No network requests to any tracking server are made, and no real location is involved.
4. Network Connections and Third Parties
The App requires internet access (INTERNET
permission on Android) for two purposes only:
- Your own server: Requests are sent to the address you configure. We have no visibility into, control over, or access to that server. You are the data controller for any information it stores, and its own privacy practices apply.
- Map tiles (OpenStreetMap): The map is rendered with OpenStreetMap-based tiles. Loading tiles reveals your IP address and the map area being viewed to the tile provider, as with any web map. No API key or account is required. See the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
The App contains no advertising networks, no analytics providers, and no crash reporting services. We do not sell or share personal data, because we do not hold any.
5. Data Storage, Retention and Security
Settings are stored in the App's private storage on your device and are protected by the operating system's app sandbox. They are removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
Because we operate no servers for the App, we retain no data about you. Any retention of tracker history is determined by your own server configuration. We recommend securing your API endpoint (for example with HTTPS and an access token), since we cannot protect data on infrastructure we do not control.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information held about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Since we hold no personal data, requests about tracker data should be directed to the operator of the server you configured — which is normally you. You can delete all data the App holds locally by uninstalling it or clearing its data in your device settings. For anything you sent us by email, contact us using the details below.
8. Account Deletion
Esp Track has no account system, so there is no account to delete. Uninstalling the App removes every piece of information it stored on your device.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
